I got lost

I haven't really done much scrapbooking or cardmaking lately.  I feel a little lost and it does call out my name occasionally.   I was really hoping to do some today, and maybe it will happen.  However, it's getting closer to noon and I have a bunch of things to do.
I'll try to update this more, even if it's with some of my older layouts that haven't been put on the page.

Wow!

Wow! Took a look at the blog and am amazed. My "style" of scrapbooking has changed. I am going to try to take some pictures and post them soon. I've moved away from the 8 1/2x 11" pages. Oddly enough my older sister told me this week that is the size she likes best.
I've expanded my scrapbooking toys.

Judging by my scrapbooking groups, it appears that people are moving away from Cricut products. I can understand this as the machines and cartridges are so expensive. I'm not willing to just throw away my "stuff" that I bought.

Sisterly Love

Another layout that I was trying something new. The background paper is kind of boring, so I used acryllic paint, and diluted it. I used it to color in the yellow rose and leaf. On the left side, you can see where I tried it with pink and it didn't turn out so well. The red rose is a die cut.l
I think this is a cute picture. After I started the layout I realized that the two of us (I'm on the left, my younger sis on the right) look a bit like two children approaching a gingerbread house... LOL.
Also, this layout was put in next to another layout that also had the title of Sister. So I added an -ly love to the title.

Twins?

No, Cousins. A pic of myself and my cousin L when we were about 2 maybe? We have matching dresses. She was born about 2 months after I was born.
This is another layout where I tried something and wasn't thrilled with the result. I put on the pink paper lines where there had been lines in the background paper. It doesn't look as good as I thought it would. Hey, at least I try new stuff.
Also has a slide mount which was a challenge on one of the groups I'm on. I keep joining more, and they get harder and harder to keep track of which is which.

On the lower left is one of my favorite pics of me. I didn't even realize it existed until recently, when my older sister sent it to me. I'm sure I had seen it before at some point but obviously forgot about it.

I'm a Walkin'

I tried something a little different on this one. I put on the extra square to focus the eyes on the pictures. I can't say I was too pleased with the results. This was also the layout when I realized that I have to go with short titles. That only on 2 page layouts should I allow myself the luxury of long titles.

Nazzie Nap

When I was at Mt. Vernon Nazerene college, we used to talk about Nazzie naps on Sunday afternoon. It kind of stuck with our family. Ex is sleeping.
